Fathers with Futures by Anglicare At the beginning of October, Anglicare Roma’s Daniel Wales established a group for fathers in Roma called Fathers with Futures. This group has been running along school terms, and will recommence on Sunday the first of February, from 9:30am – 10:30am. To celebrate the return of the Dads group Anglicare are planning an open day for all local families to attend, including the mums of course! They are hoping to have a BBQ brunch, a jumping castle, the miniature train, and more. The purpose of this group is to establish and maintain stronger social supports, as well as provide Dad’s the opportunity to ask questions, get advice, and to vent in a safe place. It also allows the wife or partner the opportunity to have an hour of peace and quiet each week, which for some Mums is almost impossible otherwise.
