E D IT IOR A L Welcome to explore the first issue of Botanic. This might be the first number, but the Botanic has roots far away. We have always had longing for collaborating with people with passion for exploring themselves. That is why making Botanic gives us chance to approach the people in the mak- er culture of Copenhagen to share their story with us. B O T A N I C This first number of Botanic carries out with cocktail theme. From 07 you can read story of Mikkel Emil Lundsteen Al- brechtsen who has a cocktail ba The Rusty Jiggerr with his business partner Jakob Fjordside in Vesterbro. They have created a soulful place that is living room for their guests in busy Copenhagen where they serve high quality cocktails that are easy to approach. From page 06 you can read the story of Shirley Kargaard who owns a garden in Amager. She provides the raw mate- rial for The Rusty Jigger. In the Copenhagen’s cocktail scene people appreciate more quality over quantity. And that is a value that Botanic shares as well. Sofia Lomakka Aurora Lucia Erdal 05
