BSLA Call for Volunteers

BSLA is fortunate to have many strong, committed volunteers
serving to further our mission. Each person fulfills a unique need.
Some organize educational, social, and networking events
with colleagues in landscape architecture and other design
professions. Others ensure the awards program follows the highest
of standards. Still others work behind the scenes seeing that our
finances are solid. Everyone works towards our mission to advance
landscape architecture through advocacy, communication,
education, and fellowship. Yet, there are still many other ways to
contribute. Don’t let the typical concerns get in your way.
The first concern most people have is, “Will I have enough
time?” Fortunately, there are opportunities for all types of time
commitments. Some people can provide a small amount of their
time concentrated to help coordinate a special event or lend their
graphic design skills to a specific document such as the program
for our Annual Gala. Others are able to devote a greater amount
of time, generally an hour or so a week, for a more sustained
initiative, such as serving on the editorial team of this publication,
working on the team to develop the landscape architecture track
at ABX, or supporting our educational and n
