Pick a Style, Any Style

This is when you are stepping up the game from an adolescently incoherent décor to the maturely organized home. Sure, you can always opt for eclectic, but in that case, do it wise. Always have at least two items of the same style, and make sure it is not very messy. The style you will choose presents the basis for all further décor efforts. Probably the most affordable, after the eclectic one, are vintage and rustic styles. Not only you can repurpose most of the old items you already have, but you can buy “new ones” for a bargain, at flea markets.

DIY

Nothing like some work done with your own two hands, to make you fall in love with your house/apartment again. People appreciate more the things in which creation they have participated. Now, you do not have to release your inner carpenter or interior decorator, several small endeavors will be enough. Call some friends over and paint the walls together. Have fun while you are doing it, the results do not have to be perfect, create art together. You can also give your wooden furniture a fresh coat of paint, while you are at it.
