"Sisterhood can be an elixir or a poison. depending on how you use it."

We were born into a society where we are taught that everything is about competition. So a lot of women think if I have a business like yours there has to be a competition instead of saying hey we need to come together and work together and promote each other. And it again about perspective do you choose to see things from a place of lack or do you choose to see things from a place of abundance. Sisterhood can be an elixir or a poison. depending on how you use it.

Shevvy Malibu: So how did the idea for Elevate Your Inner Goddess Event come about?

NuRa: This is actually the second one. I’m collaborating with Mitzani. Now Lani is one of my god sisters so I’ve known her years but I actually worked with them on another project, it wasn’t a workshop it was actually a Fashion Show and Artist Show case, because I'm also a spoken word artist. So that was the first time we got to work together as a unit. It was the Bringing Hope through Style event actually. Although they had goddess nights before, they really wanted to bring more depth and learing to the experience and I loved that. The first event we talked about many different topics and tools, But this one is going to be very focused on the yoni and womb health and also embracing your period and loving that part of us our menses and our cycles. Really celebrating the magic and the power you have within you as a woman.

Shevvy Malibu: I gotta stop you there,,,why in the world would I love my period? I’m over here wishing for early menopause. How can I possibly love my period?

NuRa: You need to get into your women power to alleviate your symptoms. The week before your period maybe start juicing and eating lots of raw food and lots of womb dancing

Shevvy Malibu: Okay pause, what the heck is a womb dance?
