When you think about burlesque you probably think about those old black and white movies, with smoky bars and girls in tassels. You may think old Hollywood and Vaudeville musicals, fishnet stockings and the era of “give a little shoulder and take it right back” but Miss Stephanie Guerra of TASTE Ladies is giving you burlesque in a way you've never seen it before.

Stephanie Guerra aka Mzs. Stiletto, like a lot of Floridians, is a transplant originally from New York. Inspired early on by the likes of MC Hammer, she's been dancing and performing since she was a child. After high school, she started teaching dance classes to children and began her professional career. After joining another hip hop dance group, Stephanie decided to branch out on her own and that's when the first TASTE Ladies was born. Back then, TASTE Ladies was an all hip-hop dance group, complete with baggy jeans, sweatshirts and Timbs. Strictly B-Girl style. But this new TASTE Ladies Miami is a completely different creature. Stephanie credits personal growth, maturity and getting comfortable with her own body with the decision to incorporate burlesque into her hip hop style. She hopes that her style of dance and the message of self-love and body acceptance will empower women to feel the same. Now we call that #bossyapproved!

Now this new TASTE Ladies is more than a hip-hop dance group, it's more than a modern burlesque performance. At a TASTE Ladies performance, the ladies also aim to please with great vocals and you might even hear them spit a verse or two.
