What if I don’t want to do EVERYTHING?

There’s another important acronym in BDSM. It’s SSC or Safe, Sane and Consensual. So while a BDSM scene or session can look a bit scary, it’s imperative to understand that everyone involved have talked it through before hand and agreed to what they would like to experience together. Communication and Consent keeps BDSM partners safe.

What if I want to stop?

When you discuss the scene or fantasy you’d like to play out it’s advisable to designate a safeword. A safeword allows you to put the brakes on if things get too intense (or painful?). A commonly used word is red, which means top now. Also used frequently is yellow, which is code for let’s slow down a bit.
