mother in the house. He may not have a fat bank account as the lawyers in the divorce or bad investments
swallowed it all. But in order to have the happily ever after, they all went through some serious challenges
to get there. What would have happened if the prince looked at Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and said,
“well, she can’t be a REAL woman, or the woman God has for me because she’s got issues.” Or if the
Prince looked at Cinderella and said, “her family is crazy, ain’t nobody got time for that!”
Don’t misunderstand, there are some men that are just straight rotten, users, abusers, cheaters and who
lack ambition, happy to not work and live of other people. There are also women out there like that too!
These are not who I am referring to (they are for another article!).
If we must use social media for #relationshipgoals let’s look at the status’ where men post how proud
they are of the woman that was with them through thick and thin. Of the woman that loved him when
he was on his face and had nothing. I love when I see status’ that say, “she was with me when I had
nothing, so now I have it I will give her everything.” And yes, I know there are men that will trade the ‘ride
or die’ in the minute they have made it for the younger, hotter version. Yes, I have seen waiting to exhale!
Again, this isn’t about those ones.
What happens when the good man, the real man, the man God has
for you needs to be loved back to health and life? When love and
care of a good woman is exactly what they need. Let’s face it, there
has been a time when we were all broken and hurt, for one reason or
another. And hoped at those times to be shown love and
compassion.
I love the song by Eric Benet “Love the Hurt Away” it is about a woman
that has been hurt and lied to in her relationship and his love will help
her to heal and to love again, if she will give him the chance.
You can still have #relationshipgoals but you must be real that your Prince Charming, your King may come
to you scarred, scared, having been hurt and limping. Because at some point we all have been there.
