The sold-out inaugural Women in Radio Dinner featured key game-changers in the radio industry. On-air personalities, K. Foxx and Felisha Monet, and Branding and Programming director Jill Strada, shared their journeys and insight on the radio industry. Since then this group has really taken off gaining more and more members every day.
Taylor readily admits women in the radio industry face many of the same issues as women in other industries. She hopes that by coming together they’ll be able to confront issues such as the gender pay gap, lack of women in high ranking positions and why women aren’t often given a morning show, she notes females are often given the side kick role.
To discuss these issues and also just network, inspire and celebrate each other, she has launched Women In Radio Pop Ups. The organization plan is to travel to different radio companies around the U.S.A and connect with women in radio over cupcakes, cocktails, and conversation!
