BOSSY!: That kind of amazing, don’t you think?
Miko: It is pretty amazing, like when I sit down and think about. It’s amazing where this market has gone from when we started. It’s incredible.
BOSSY!: I’m thinking about something you said about there not being products out there like Miss Jessie’s. At least not in retail space. You could walk in anyplace and find a relaxer, but finding products to style our hair as is wasn’t common at all. So when you told people about your plan, what you wanted Miss Jessie’s to be and do…did you get a lot of flak? Did people not see your vision?
Miko: Well luckily, I had this notion that I should stay close to my sister, not tell anyone about our plans and aspirations or operations. We were running this top secret operation in the brownstone. Somehow we had this instinct especially me, not to tell anyone what we were doing.
BOSSY!: What made you do that?
