Adrienne: Oh really? So you just skipped the whole line?
Sandy: Yes, I did, but I had to get to my gig, and It was God who was in control. I just asked a question. After waiting so many hours and angry people were upset about being in the line, I was pushed through to audition, and he told me I was next. I got through to the preliminary panel to audition. I introduced myself and told them, I have a plus-size dance team, and I want to show ya'll that plus-size women are not lazy and we love to be active, and I did a dance routine. I said, "there is more of me. It's not just me. There is a group of us, and we are ready to take over Hollywood!" They liked it and thanked me for coming. I did a second audition with the dance troop, and they loved us! The celebrity judges were Melanie Thornton from the Pussycat Dolls, Sean Paterson of Wilhelmina agency, Vanessa Rousso, celebrity poker player, and I believe Ryan Seacrest. I won $35,000 to take my girls on tour, and the rest is history!
Adrienne: HELLO!!!! Listen- now that's a story to tell! Alright, so let's fast forward to now. How did the idea for your business come about?
Sandy: Diva's brunch club was a business that was initially, The Pampered Brunch. The Pampered Brunch was a mash-up of my other business, "Diva's Glam bar," and brunch with services like nails and facials for both men and women. Then Covid hit, and the world was quarantined, and intimate facials and nails were out of the question.
