I don't know why it takes me forever to write these things... It's not like I don't know the theme for every issue or the topic for every article ahead of time. But for whatever reason it's not until some life event prompts this letter that I am able to put words to paper.
Being that this is our spring issue and will be in circulation during Mother's Day, we thought it fitting to dedicate our first spring issue to the SuperMOM.
I must say I have been extremely blessed. Although I have no children of my own (yet) l feel like im going to be an AMAZING mommy.
Why? Well for starters, my grandmother who I will forever consider to be my best friend told me so. She also taught me how to pray, she taught me that you can say you love someone but if you don't pray for their growth and peace spiritually, physically, and emotionally you don't love them much at all. She taught me how to be a solid foundation and a pillar of strength for generations to pull from.
My own mother (her daughter) gave me first hand experience of what awesome momminess (yes I made that word up) looks like. She showed me that not only are you to be a good mother but a good wife also. And to be married for 32 years have 3 cool kids who are successful in their own rights I’m certain she knows what she’s talking about. She showed me what it means to take care of your house and still be able to be a mentor to girls less fortunate.
