Bosch Engenharia sells
first CVP in Brazil
In July 2013 Bosch Engenharia sold its first Continuous
Vacuum Pan (CVP) to the largest and most prestigious sugar
factory in Brazil. This new CVP is vital to this company’s plan
to process 10 million tons of cane through the factory in 2014,
up from 9 million tons in 2013. This is equivalent to half of the
annual South African sugar cane crop and will be the biggest
crop ever to be crushed in one year by one factory.
The pan was designed at Bosch Projects head office in
Durban and the detailed drawings were prepared at the Bosch
Engenharia office in Piracicaba. This is a turnkey package
developed by Bosch Engenharia and the Development Bank of
Brazil (BNDES), and includes the supply of the pan, condenser,
structure, valves, pumps, interconnecting piping, a 100m3 seed
receiver, instrumentation and automation.
The 280m3 double compartment CVP for B massecuite was
commissioned in March 2014.
