04 Bosch Engenharia executes Operational Management for Distillery in Brazil LASA Distillery Bosch Engenharia was appointed to execute the operational and maintenance management of LASA’s Distillery (Lago Azul S/A), taking it over in 2012, when the distillery was going through a rehabilitation process and was crushing 300 000 tonnes of cane per year. Bosch Engenharia’s experienced industrial manager works closely with the local area managers and is supported by the multidisciplinary engineering team, located in the Piracicaba-Brazil offices. The first year of contract raised the throughput to 409 000 TCA, and in 2014 the final crush rate reached 457 000 TCA. The goal is to achieve 700 000 TCA in a period of three years, using Bosch Engenharia’s proven technologies. Storage – ethanol tanks The first proved technology to be implemented in the factory is a 2300 m3 Bosch Long Tube Evaporator (LTE), which is expected to be commissioned in July, 2015. It will be the first Bosch LTE in operation in South America. The value of this project consists of a monthly fee, plus an annual bonus calculated on a percentage of the monthly production surplus in relation to the breakeven.
