Yard waste must be bagged in 30-gallon Kraft paper bags and must not weigh more than 60 pounds. Do not place yard waste in plastic bags or garbage cans. Branches and limbs that are ½ inch to 4 inches in diameter and 2 to 4 feet in length can be placed at the curb without a waste sticker from April 7 through November 1. Brush must be stacked in neat piles in the same direction, with the cut side of the limbs facing the street. After April 18, yard waste requires a garbage sticker. Brush resulting from commercial tree trimming jobs will not be collected and is the responsibility of the contractor. Yard waste and unbundled brush should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular garbage collection day. For more information, visit aurora-il.org or call 630-256-INFO.
