Health and Safety recognition
By George Swanepoel, Risk, Health and Safety Manager.
Recently a celebration was held, recognising
our staff that help to keep us all safe at work. Health and Safety is a passion and the work done by these
passionate people has a profound impact on everyone working at
our DHB, including patients, volunteers and visitors.
We have a team of staff throughout the organisation, that take on
these H & S roles, on top of their existing workloads. Some also
go beyond that, getting involved in projects or developing solutions
to address safety issues they see at work. Corporate Services General Manager Owen Wallace, and
BOPDHB Board Member Yvonne Boyes attended the celebrations,
thanking our reps for ‘going the extra mile’ to keep us safe.
