To make sure that your worn clothes qualify for laundry, all you have to do is sniff and check if your outfit remotely stinks. In case it does not stink, then air it out under the fan for some time and you will be able to wear it a couple of times more. Read on as we tell you a few more hacks below that will help you remove the musty smell from your clothes completely. 1. Don’t Collect Clothes In The Machine We have a habit of throwing clothes in the machine and washing only when there are a good number of garments that we can wash together. So, you can hang the garments somewhere separately and not pile them up in the laundry basket or washing machine. 2. Add Vinegar or Baking Soda To The Deter- gent Vinegar and baking soda are used to neutralise and get rid of the unpleasant smell in your garments. So, next time you put your clothes in the washing machine, add a cup of white vinegar or baking soda with a good detergent. 3. Soak Your Clothes In A Good Detergent After your clothes come from the laundry, tell your maid to soak the clothes in a fabric softener for about 10-15 minutes. After that, just rinse with water and your clothes will smell fresh again. You can also opt for a good-smelling detergent that smells of rose or any other strong fragrance. 4. Dry Clothes In Your Room Waiting for the sun to come up so that you can dry clothes outside is not going to happen. So, go ahead and line your clothes in your room near the window for good ventilation and leave the fan open for them to dry and not smell. 5. Store Your Clothes In A Dry Place To keep the dampness away from your clothes, you need to add a few sticks of chalk in your wardrobe and drawers. This will not only keep your clothes from stinking but will leave them smelling great. 45 | BOOM
