Saying
Goodbye
Saying “Goodbye“ is something that I have grown
accustomed to . I have moved from Miami to Tampa to
Brooklyn to Manha an to Cologne and finally to Berlin,
where I have been for the last 8 1/2 years.
I have always been apprecia ve of all the experiences
that I have had that comes with every move. Every new
memory, every new person, every new laugh and every
new smile. When I wake up every morning, I look in the
mirror and promise myself that I am going to do the best
that I can do, every day. That is what I have also tried to
do with every issue of Booking Blue.
Rumors have it, that when I was given the newsle er as a
project at the end of 2012, that it was clear to see that I

was not happy about it. Truth of the ma er was: I was
found the offer insul ng because like most people, I had a
picture of the stereotypical, normal, dry and dull
corporate newsle ers that we have seen at other
companies.
Now, it is one of the hardest things to walk away from. It
is one of the major joys of my job. Working with the
Editorial Team, receiving contribu ons from everyone on
the floor, crea ng and designing the layout, is something I
do with pleasure. It‘s me consuming but it is me well
spent. Alas, the newsle er is not MY newsle er. It is OUR
newsle er and therefore, it is me for someone else with
wonderful ideas and a clear vision to take on this project.
Therefore, this will be my last issue as Editor-In-Chief of
Booking Blue. Thank you for making this one of the most
memorable projects that I have worked on. I look forward
to seeing what new changes are in store.
