Greetings!
I am so excited about this first issue. This
magazine will become the “bible” for
readers and everything who has an
interest in books and the authors who
write them. That is the goal of Book
cover. To bring books AND the author to
people who read.
I am still old fashion in how I think about
books. If you come to my home, you will
see hundreds of books all over the place,
especially the master bathroom…also
known as the library in my home. (smile).
I love seeing books on shelves, on the bed and just all over the place. I remember
when the former first lady Jackie O. (aka Ms. John F. Kennedy) died I read that she
told her family that she wanted to have books all around her on her death bed,
and that is what she had books all over her bed.
Books are so powerful. I have always been a reader. Every since I can remember, I
loved going to the library. I grew up before the internet, so the way we got books
was at the public library or at the school library. My mom would buy my brother
and I books at the thrift stores and bring them home for us and I would read and
dream of what I wanted to be when I grew up, or dream about the worlds that I
read about. This is the reason I went on to write books and become a bestselling
author. It is part of my DNA.
So, we want you to get to know the authors we feature in this magazine every
month. Learn about how they become authors and what drove their passion to
pursue this craft. Just like me, you might find that being an author started with
them at birth.
We promise to introduce you to new first time authors and their books. We also
promise that you will be kept on top of what is going on in the “book world”.
We want you to tell everybody you know about Book cover and join us by
