Female Spotlight Author Leah Dalton BCM: Why do you want to become a published author? To be honest, I never had any intentions of being a published author. I have been writing for years but not a lot of people knew about it. Once I started sharing my work to friends, it was then that I decided that the people need to have an opportunity to hear my work. I feel i need to be a part of real lyrical poets being brought out in our generation. BCM: What is your first book about? My first book is about love in the many forms that it presents itself within relationships. It goes from the good to the bad and all in between. BCM: What has been the biggest challenge for you writing your book? I don't think it was any real challenges for me writing this book. The challenges stemmed from going through all the different situations and all the different levels within love that I speak about it in the book. If anything, writing this book was like a form of release therapy. BCM: What advice do you give other writers who want to become a published author I would warn them that this is not easy! It's hard work! A lot of it! Prepare yourself mentally. Do your research. Brand yourself. Network a lot in order to have numerous promotional and collaborative outlets... You’re going to need them. BCM: What are you reading or the last book you read? I'm currently reading the sequel to Waiting to Exhale…Getting to Happy by Terry McMillan Connect With Leah: Facebook: Leah Dalton | Instagram: the_essential_lee Reader Tablets By Kindle CLICK NOW TO SHOP
