Our culture as a Scheme, sets us apart in the industry. We
put our members first in all that we do, while maintaining
strong leadership and governance in the Scheme’s

for the coming years will be to ensure that we apply
technology accordingly to make our service offering
more convenient to use and easy understand for all.
Fun facts
Where did you grow up?
Alberton (Eden Park) but spent my
formative years in Tshwane.
What’s your favourite food?
I enjoy Eastern foods.
We caught up with the new Bonitas Principal
Officer and asked him the following questions.
What do you see as the greatest healthcare
concern for South Africa as a whole?
Making healthcare more affordable and accessible for all
South Africans. But more importantly, I believe it is to get
South Africans to be more mindful around their holistic
wellness.
What top three things would you like to focus
on changing at Bonitas?
The primary focus will be to ensure that the Fund is
sustainable. However, my immediate focus areas will be
to drive product leadership, connecting with members
and ensuring operational excellence.
What do you think sets Bonitas apart from its
competitors?
Nowadays, a majority of organisations strive to provide
a service with a difference, adding more features and
complimentary services. We have seen this in our
competitors. As Bonitas we want to keep our focus on
the healthcare and wellness of our members and South
Africans at large. With that said, our objective continues
to ensure that we improve the quality of healthcare,
making it more affordable for all our members.

What is your pet peeve?
I must state I don’t get irritated easily.
I believe that we should not be set in
our ways, but rather seek to understand
different perspectives. However, if I am
forced to give one it would be lack of
accountability.
If you were stranded on a deserted
island what three things would you take
with you?
I don't like this type of question but
it would be: Fire, a fishing rod and my
daughter.
What are your top three health tips?
• Form an exercise routine that you enjoy
and stick to it
• Ensure you maintain a good sleeping
routine
• Invest time to relax and meditate
How do you relax in your spare time?
I enjoy music, but the best time for me
is spending time with my daughter and
appreciating the lens through which she
sees the world.
