Bongo Boy Rock and Roll Television Show
Episode 7 Review
A short while ago, while the Grouchette, the Little Grouches and I were traveling around
the inner mountain West (By the way our trip which included the obligatory trip to Yellowstone
was great as we saw bison, elk and a wolf), Bongo Boy sent me an e-mail asking me to review
episode 7 of their Rock and Roll Television Show.
Up first we have Angeles - Not Here To Play – I like these guys. They remind me
so much of my misspent youth. This track has 1982 written all over it and when I see the band
they do as well. Angeles are not a young band and they provide a fine vehicle for kids today to
see what metal-heads dug back when MTV played music. The guitar solo is wicked and makes
me smile. No matter how many times I listen to this track I cannot get Ronnie James Dio out of
my head. I believe it was when he was with Rainbow he did a song in which the chorus consisted
of him singing/screaming “What do we do? We ROCK!” Well, as Angeles say, they are not here
