Track 9 - Robert Slap - Modern Medicine - Oh yeah , I dig the bass that starts things off . Robert lays down a funky bottom and throws some really nice leads over the top . This strikes me as one of those songs that has no end . That is fine with me when the music being played sounds as good as this track . This song is , in effect , the bass and drums playing a long loop while the guitar let ’ s it rip . Just when I thought that was all there was to the song some horns came out of nowhere and added a new dimension to the jam . Very nice work guys , this reminds me ( and I do not mean this in any negative way ) of something the Grateful Dead might have done . Now now I am not calling you a bunch of filthy hippies . What I mean is , in all honesty the guys in the Dead were some really good players who also happened to stretch out a song or two . This track , is very stretchable - and it would sound good until you finally decide to pull the plug .
