Alec Kerley and the Terror of Bigfoot

Alaban Press , 2013 By : Douglas Tanner 210 Pages
Alec ’ s life seems to be going downhill , with the loss of his mom and a dysfunctional relationship with his dad ; nothing seemed to be going right . Although , everything changes when his family and his friend ’ s family go on “ vacation ” together . During this trip , secrets are uncovered , and bonds are formed . Everyone involved learns that family can be found in anyone . Then , when Sasquatches attack their cabin , the families and friends must come together to survive the weekend .
Through the confusion , Douglas Tanner shows amazing character growth ; one of the aspects that made me love this book so much . He also included great detail about each event , which helped me to visualize and comprehend the book even better . I was amazed when I realized how much of a connection he allowed me to have with the characters , just by writing it in the style he did . After I finished this book , I couldn ’ t wait to read the next one . The action continued non-stop , which kept me engaged until the last word .
I fell in love with this publication from the moment I read the first sentence . I loved the craft the book Alec Kerley and the Terror of Bigfoot was written in . I was astounded with this fiction novels plot . Overall , on a scale of one to five for this piece , I would rate it a five . As you can see , it has a high position on my favorite books list . I would recommend this book to a pre-teen and up age range because it has a few parts that can be a little frightening for younger readers .
