OVERCOMER STORY
Cash me being a Conqueror how bout dat...
Hey guys, so I am guessing you’ve heard of the saying, “cash me outside how
bout-dat.” It has been going around everywhere. It is one of the many new
things coming at us every single day. Whether it’s new trends in clothes or
new things happening in your school or at home, one thing that has always
been around us is fear, also known as anxiety. F-E-A-R, four letters that
affect us so much! I know it has me! Fear has always been a big thing in my
life. Sorry, let me introduce myself. My name is Arika! I am a 16-year-old girl
that is currently in high school. I love riding horses and l love being involved
in school! Yes, school. Sometimes school can be scary. With everything that
is going on around us, it is easy to get caught up in making sure that we “fit
in” or that we have lots of Instagram likes. So, here is my story on being more
than a conquer. One day, I was sitting at home with a message on my heart,
something that the Lord was telling me to say. I grabbed my computer, and
I started sharing the Lord’s message about confidence. I really believe that
this is what God wanted me to do. I wanted to post it right away on Face-
book for all my friends to see, but suddenly it hit me. The four-letter word.
Fear! All these thoughts were running through my head saying, “What is
everyone going to say about me?” “Are people going to judge me?” All of
these negative things coming toward me immediately shut me down. I did
not want to post it. Without my knowledge, my mom sent my video to my
whole family. I got texts from my aunt saying how much she loved my video
and asked me if she could post it.
