What is Challenge?
Challenge is a group of Catholic girls who get together every other week to
talk about an issue in the world, do fun activities, and serve God. We first
get a little snack. After that, our instructor, Miss Voss, tells us a theme and
then we play a game and talk about that theme. For example, once when
we were talking about how people see things differently. So, what we did
was sit back to back, and one person had a piece of paper. The other picked
a little piece of paper out of a jar and tried to tell them how to draw what it
said on the little paper. Once you’re done explaining it, the person who was
drawing tried to guess what it was. Sometimes, we watch videos to help us
understand the theme as well.
In Challenge we do service work including singing Christmas carols and
making crafts with the elderly. We sold Christmas Grams to our school to
raise money for the Challenge summer camp and other activities. We are
also having a bake sale soon.
I like Challenge because we learn about God and we can freely pray to Him.
I also like Challenge because you can get away from drama. I think people
in the Lady Spartan Challenge Club like Challenge because we can pray as
a group. It is also a place where you could meet new people and make new
friends. I too like Challenge for all of those reasons. That’s why I think all
Catholic schools should have Challenge.
I hope you are inspired by Challenge Club. Maybe you could start your own
club to learn more about Christ and live in your faith.
