High Steppers is a good opportunity to try out and join . It ' s a good step team where you can be confident , show off what you know and learn new things every day . It ' s also a good way to keep your grades up . Our team is like a family ; if you need help with anything they will get right to it . High Steppers is a place where you can tell others how you feel . I know it might be tough , but when things are difficult you can get through it faster and better . Rolando Berry is a good drill master ; he founded High Steppers in 1979 first known as the Blind Boone High Steppers . As a child , he belonged to many drill teams . T-man is a good drum master , and he wants every beat to be on point , even for the steppers . Squirrel is a good dance instructor if one person doesn ' t know a move we all do the move until that person gets it . He ' s also fun and funny at times . " Game face ," he says to everyone which means to stay still and get ready for showtime or just stay still . All of my friends and drill masters have helped me stop being shy of dancing , hitting my moves on point and keeping my grades up . I started in fourth grade and stopped for a while and then came back my 8th-grade year and joined High Steppers again in 2016 .
