OVERCOMER STORY
Being a teenage girl can be very difficult , especially when thoughts about your self-confidence and self-esteem get in the way . When I began sixth grade , I always thought I wasn ' t as pretty as all of the other girls that were at my school . I would always try to fit in with the " cool crowd ." As I would hang around with them , I liked the results , until I realized I was the exact same as all of them . There was nothing unique about me at all , so I knew something would have to change .
