THE KNOW HOW Hair! THE KNOW HOW Beat the Braid Dilemma Braiding is really simple! It just requires some practice & patience. I will give you my best tips for the perfect braid and walk you through the steps of braiding. Step One: Separate the section of hair you want to braid into 3 strands. For example, if I want to braid my ponytail, I will separate the ponytail into three sections. Step Two: Start with the piece on the right. Cross this piece over the middle piece. This becomes the new middle. Step T hree: Take the left piece and cross it over your new middle piece. This now becomes the middle piece. Step Four: Continue crossing the right and left pieces over the middle until you have an inch or two left. Secure with a ponytail. Braiding Tips! Frizz Defying Hair Cream will keep your braid sleek all day. I use one called Crack. Have little hairs sticking up? Use an old toothbrush to brush them down without ruining your braid. I have curly hair, but sometimes I straighten my hair for a different look. You can also curl your hair before braiding and get a different look. Finish with a little hairspray for a look that lasts all day! THE PERFECT BROW Makeup, in today's society, is something many girls focus on. The perfect eyebrow is one of the things that many girls hope to achieve. Figuring out how to get your perfect brow can be a process, but following these tips and tricks can help you achieve just that! 1. BEFORE YOU START applying any makeup, make sure you have a good setup, which includes a good light source and mirror. Make sure you have all the basics for your eyebrows which include: brow pencil, brow liner and an angled brush. 2. READY TO BEGIN For me, being a blonde and having very light-colored eyebrows, I first like to take the brow pencil and fill in any sparse areas very lightly with small strokes. Not everyone will need to do this step. 3. KNOW WHERE YOU’RE GOING Completely fill in your brows using the brow gel liner and the angled brush. Start with short strokes for a natural look. Start towards the middle of your brow and go to the end. If you are struggling with where to end, use the outside corner of your eye and go diagonally from it. 4. FOCUS ON THE FRONT Still using the angled brush, make the short light strokes and brush the front hairs up. By doing this it will make your brow appear fuller. 5. SEE YOUR COMPLET ED BROW By now you should have a completed brow and should be happy with the outcome. If you did make a few mistakes, you can always underline the eyebrow with concealer or white eyeshadow. 38 October 2016 Chris, 13 Megan, 14
