In this edition we offer you some suggestions on where to go to discover our region’s Autumn / Winter splendour. This is the time of year when our region comes alive with vibrant colours, and I would encourage you to join the many visitors who take advantage of the change of seasons, the crisp mountain air, food festivals and the cosy events on offer. Winter Wonderland councillors with For the first time, the Civic Precinct will be transformed into a winter wonderland which will come alive with ice-capades for the whole family to enjoy. For the food lovers, the Hampton Festival is not to be missed, with amazing produce from the region, displays from our local artisans, and plenty of entertainment from our home grown entertainers. 5 With the cooler weather encouraging the adventurous to make use of our tracks and trails, sports tourism hits the spotlight in our region. In this edition we feature mountain biking in Jubilee Park at the Fox on Rocks event. This event will attract high calibre participants for an action packed experience. Autumn Fun 6 As we head into the dry season, our focus turns to water conservation. While we’ve received some good rainfall, the impact on our dam storage has been minimal. I encourage and applaud our community's understanding in using water responsibly. Our Youth Connect team have been working with professional scooter coaches to provide some outstanding workshops for the young people around the region.
