CONTENTS 4 welcome Welcome to our 10th edition of BOLD, and our second edition for 2018. We’ve experienced a great start to the year and there's still plenty more to come. The first half of the year is often filled with many events and activities across the region. We get to enjoy the fantastic weather our region offers. As the days cool leading into Autumn, we’re spoilt with the spectacular change of colour the season brings. It's definitely one of the best times of the year. ANZAC Day In this edition of BOLD, we pause to remember our fallen soldiers on ANZAC day. It's a reminder to be thankful for the freedom we have living in one of the best parts of the world. This time of year is also very busy with our show circuit commencing and Easter celebrations taking place across the region. In particular we highlight the iconic Jondaryan Woolshed 'Easter Family Fun Weekend'. This is truly an event to be experienced as you step back in time and enjoy ‘good ole fashioned fun’. 5 One of the most exciting events coming soon will be the Commonwealth Games. We're lucky enough to have the Queens Baton Relay coming through the region, plus the opportunity to provide quality facilities and hospitality to teams training for the games. Clean Up Australia Day is a fantastic way for us to get involved, show our pride and ensure that our region remains beautiful as we showcase what we have to the world. Showtime 6 No doubt many of you have reflected on what this year will bring. We recognise that health and wellness are important aspects to our residents. We're committed to creating opportunity for a healthy and happy region with our Change Project. I encourage you to explore the project and get involved. Finally, our region wouldn’t be what it is today without the community. We're working hard at involving the community for future planning and I urge you to tell us your vision and ideas for the region, get involved in consultations and provide feedback. We want to create the best region and a proud region.
