“Neighbors of Nigeria are working together”
A Multinational Joint Task Force between
the neighboring countries of Chad, Cameroon, Niger, and Benin has been establish.
They are working together to counter Boko
Haram. (US Department of State) This statement is true.
“Multinational Joint Task Force [created] to
confront, degrade and defeat Boko Haram.”
The U.S. Department of State released a fact
sheet containing information on its support
of the establishment of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF). The U.S. is
partnering with the countries of Cameroon,
Chad, Niger, Nigeria, and Benin. Aiding in
the counter against Boko Haram. (US Department of State) This statement is true.
“Boko Haram’s war against the people of
Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon may
not attract as much worldwide attention as
the wars in the Middle East but the suffering
is just as great and the human cost is equally
high.” This is a relative statement and is true
depending on circumstances. This war appears to have not gained as much attention
worldwide as other terrorist groups. Although a lot depends on were the audience
located in the world is and whether they are
directly affected with it or not. So the statement can be true relative to the audience.

that “more people have died form Boko
Haram than ISIS” (Karen Bass) The part of
the statement on the suffering and human
cost is true, many lives have been lost and
people have suffered from the affects of Boko
Haram. This statement is mostly true.
“Nigeria intended to put in place a bold and
robust strategy to defeat Boko Haram.” The
U.S. has a strategy in place. “Our counter
Boko Haram Strategy is an integrated, interagency effort to help Nigeria and its neighbors in their fight to degrade and ultimately
to defeat Boko Haram.” (US Department
of State) They have been working together
with Nigeria to eliminate Boko Haram. This
statement is true.
