Once upon a time , in a land not so far away , there came a Raja , who , to be honest , was quite lost . He chanced upon a village woman who sat outside her gudi salu boiling beans . The hunger-stricken directionless Raja felt his stomach rumble . Tired and exhausted , but mostly desperate , he approached the kind woman with all humility and said , “ Swalpa bende kalu kodthira ?” The woman didn ’ t think twice before offering her only meal of the day : all the Boiled Beans . Impressed , satisfied and extremely full , the Raja decided to name this village ( which already had a name , by the way ) Bendakaluru , in other words , Boiled Beans . |

Inspired by her favourite musician Rebecca Black , Charita thought to herself : “ I must do something for the love of Bangalore , too ” Teaming up with long-term friend Pooja Dantewadia from college , Charita envisioned a magazine that would cater to the internet-addicted younkers of Bangalore suffering from college and firstjob burn out .

A Harry Potter fan , Pooja wanted to dedicated the entire magazine to J . K . Rowling . After , Charita intervened , Pooja switched to using her businesswoman superpowers and radical ideas to give Boiled Beans an edge .

Broken and depressed , after graduating from So Called University , Sarah felt as though she had no direction in life . Instead of killing herself , she accepted Pooja ’ s incredibly spiffingtastic offer to be part of Boiled Beans .

Sarah loves to read news , spend most of her time online , talk to her laptop , design , draw and write . And , Boiled Beans gives her all of them .
