Dear Bogey Hills Members ,
The beginning of October was an unusually warm month for St . Charles . This month , fall will feel like it is upon us as the leaves turn golden yellow and orange . Fall is my favorite season of the year . The weather is crisp but nice enough to still enjoy golf and outdoor activities .
The golf events have now commenced but I would like to thank all the members who played in the in the Tombstone Tournament , Glow Ball , and the Closing Day Classic . The weather turned out great for each of these events .
The Silver Oak Wine Dinner was a huge success . Chef Jay , Mike and Heather did an outstanding job planning the event . We will be adding more events like these to the 2022 calendar , so if you have suggestions on a vineyard , brewery , or spirit please let Mike or Heather know . We are always looking for new and unique dinners to add to our calendar .
BooFest was a sold-out event ! The decorations were amazing ! I would like to thank Heather , Kris and Dani Pals , and Bryan and Erin Schulte from Exclusive Events for all the effort in making this event so fun for the kids .
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Chef Jay has an excellent menu for you and your family . Let us do all the cooking and clean-up . Please call the reservation line to make your reservation . unique Christmas gifts for family and friends . Please call the reservation line to reserve your spot or table . Guests are welcome at this event .
Holiday parties are fast approaching . The Club Christmas party on December 3rd is expected to have a record turn out so please make your reservations soon . The golf shop will be running specials so you can get some Christmas shopping done early . The Gingerbread House event is new this year and is scheduled for Sunday , December 12th . The kids will have fun decorating their Gingerbread houses in the ballroom and there will be refreshments . Santa ’ s Brunch on December 19th is also a big event so be sure to make your reservations to see Santa and Mrs . Claus and to also get the time you would like . Last , is New Year ’ s Eve , another new event which will be family focused . The Committee is really excited to plan this event . Please be on the look out for emails and flyers on updates .
Finally , as everyone has begun to experience the uptick in pricing . The Club is no exception . The golf shop is seeing supply issues from the vendors for merchandise , Jay is seeing the ups and downs of food pricing as well as supply and Chris and Mike are seeing the issues with beer , liquor , and wine . All are doing their best to maintain the best controls and pricing as they can . Your patience and understanding are appreciated .
There are lots of events ahead so mark your calendars now and make those reservations . If you have any questions about the events , please contact Heather .
The Ladies ’ Christmas Luncheon will be a week earlier this year . It is scheduled for Tuesday , November 30th . This will give the ladies plenty of time to get some
