18-HOLE LADIES ’ LEAGUE
Congratulations to Jean Bennett , who was September ’ s Golfer of the Month with a net 69 . Jean also made a hole in one during league play on # 13 with a 7 hybrid for 128 yards .
The Golfer of the Year is Kathy Regele , who won the playoff among the Golfers of the Month . Other ladies who competed in this event included Carole Carpenter , Linda Boone , Kendra Nowak , and Jean Bennett .
Congratulations also goes out to Connie Cissell , who is the Women ’ s Club Match Play Champion !
Aryn Koepke placed first and Kendra Nowak placed third in the Tombstone Tournament . Kendra Nowak won 2 skins , and Carole Carpenter , Vicky Rodell , and Aryn Koepke each won 1 skin . her successor as a servant leader . Thank you Bev for all your years of service to SLWDGA and for making Bogey Hills so proud !
In the District event at Winghaven , a 2-person net-1 best ball event : Julie Bossard and Gail Walters tied for 2nd in their flight ;
Jean Bennett and Lynette Zuch placed 2nd in their flight ; and
Sharon Gietl and Jane Quast tied for 1st in their flight .
In the District Closing Scramble at Sunset Hills , the team of Julie Bossard , Pat Johnson , Gail Walters , and Lynette Zuch tied for first in their flight .
Finally , League members Julee Wisor and Kendra Nowak were on the teams that placed 4th and tied for 5th , respectively , in the Closing Day Classic .
In District News , Bev Frein was honored as the outgoing president of the St . Louis Women ’ s District Golf Association at the Closing Day Meeting held in Sunset Hills . She was aptly described by
