Projects seem to be never ending. The practice facility tee still needs to be completed. The lack of dry weather has not allowed us a window to finish grade the surface with dry top soil and accommodate for the availability of sod within a 3-4 day period. It is high on our priority list and will be completed soon. The spoils area around our nursery green still needs to be shaped too. We will start sodding zoysia where needed this month in fairways, tees, and collars. The construction work at Cole Creek has resumed by the city. This is great news because we need them to finish grade the area behind #8 green so we can install screening plants to block out the famous Jack n the Box. The work they are doing should not affect play other than making some noise.

On a finishing note, please remember to hit within the ropes at the practice facility. Practicing from the designated area will allow for a more even distribution of wear. This results in a scheduled rotation that allows for recovery in growth so we can maintain the tee complex throughout the season. Cart path restrictions are currently 90 degrees to your golf ball. We are allowing traffic in both fairways and roughs. Must exit at the blue stake. Please don't drive further towards the green than the blue stake. In the near future we will change the cart path ruling to fairways only, so stay tuned. Following this rule will result in withstanding traffic wear and promoting better turf and playing conditions. Thanks in advance for understanding why we restrict cart traffic at BHCC.
