Since 1966 John Hancock Academy has been meeting the needs of Sparta and the surrounding communities by offering a Christian family environment of education for K3 Preschool through 12th grade . It is that atmosphere , as well as smaller class sizes and devoted faculty , that makes us unique in the academic community . Fully accredited by the GAC , we offer college preparatory courses as well as general studies . As the only school in the area to be special needs approved , we offer individualized programs for those with special needs . Our athletic program begins with football , basketball , cross country and cheerleading in elementary school and expands into additional sports in middle and high school . With the Bible as our guide , we strive to build character and instill morals in our students that prepare them for life beyond the classroom .
