Modelling organisations have confirmed plans to introduce a new skinny model policy next year. All models will need to present a doctor's certificate of good health before they will be allowed to walk on catwalks around the world. This will help the media's perception of the perfect female body shape a great deal and will hopefully change how girls around the world view themselves. Israel has successfully banned the use of underweight models in advertisments and on the catwalk. The models need to prove identification that their BMI is at least 18.5 or above. A major fashion name has also taken this act on board. Fashion label, Vogue, has decided to ban underweight and underage models for the sake of the model's health and for girls viewing Vogue's magazines and fashion shows. Editors of Vogue magazines around the world have gathered together to discuss this topic. Hopefully since their decision to ban underweight and underage models has been introduced, the rest of the world will soon follow.
