.A positive coping strategy would be to talk to
your close friends or relatives to let them know
that you are experiencing problems accepting
your
own figure. They know you well enough to help
you
through the situation and decide if it is a worry
or
not.
Another positive coping strategy would be to reach out to an online, phone or social counselor or helpline. Because you don't know them, they won't judge you and are experienced enough to help you through your issues.
A negative coping strategy would be to stop eating because the person may think themselves to be fat so they starve themselves and end up with a terrible eating/weight disorder such as anorexia.
The worst coping strategy would be for someone to be so upset with themselves and so embarrassed about their body that they take their own life.
