Tattoos in the workplace
As we know, tattoos are seen as taboo because according to the results of a survey conducted by OCC to 2500 people assiduous to the page of the same organization, only 29% said they would hire a tattooed person if they are in an area visible, 32% if they were in an inconspicuous area and 36% said it would depend on the work to be performed. The same survey found results with possible reasons why these people do not hire someone tattooed of which 68% would not hire for image, 39% associate it with a lack of professionalism and 30% because it considered a act of rebellion.
70% of the 2,500 Mexicans who were consulted in a recent study believes that tattoos are a source of discrimination in society while 60% think that also generate segregation in the workplace.
