Welcome from the Head of Boarding
Since the School’s foundation in
1896, Guildford Grammar School
has established a proud tradition of
boarding. We aim to provide a home
away from home for our boarders from
regional Western Australia, the nation
and overseas. We focus on providing
exceptional education in an inclusive
environment, inspiring our students
to form strong relationships and
establish lifelong values during their
time in boarding.
Family is at the heart of our boarding
community. My family and I have been
involved with this wonderful school for
many years and over this time we have
developed lasting friendships with staff
and students alike. It is without a doubt,
the people of this community who make
Guildford Grammar School such a warm
and positive place. A natural extension
of the home, the boarding house is a
community rich in culture where boarders
can pursue personal excellence within a
welcoming environment.
With the introduction of co-education
to boarding at Guildford Grammar
School ithis year, we are excited to see
our community grow. Co-educational
boarding provides families with a unique
opportunity for siblings to experience
boarding together, affording families both
flexibility and convenience.
We are known for our extensive student
wellbeing and care program, where
every child is known and cared for. Our
approachable and friendly team create
a happy and sociable home where all
boarders enjoy a sense of belonging and
purpose. The boarding house is not just a
place to live during term time, it is a place
for children to grow.
As one of Western Australia’s oldest
independent schools, Guildford Grammar
School has a proud heritage of providing
an outstanding education. I look forward to
meeting you and your family, and welcome
you to join our family here at Guildford
Grammar School.
