Where was your head at when you were in the process of making that project? 2 Things were going through my head. The 1st thought was my city and my people need a new refreshing artist reppin’ Atlanta. Why not me? And The other thought was “this is my story”. Even if nobody liked it or listened to it, no matter what, that was my gift to myself for my birthday and that’s the day I released it. Feb. 9,’15. Now that’s honorable & iconic! You’re apart of the Atlanta collective called FLY PAC, what are some things you want to see your team accomplish? I would want nothing more but to see my whole team winning & successful because I believe we all deserve it. I would like to see a FLY PAC world tour, FLY PAC in your local mall on clothing hangers & FLY PAC on your favorite radio station. One of your main influences are Dead Prez, it’s rare that I hear them being an influence, what about them really draws you in? Dead Prez stood for RGB: revolutionary but gangsta! I remember listening to “let’s get free” for the 1st time & actually thought way deeper than bars and rhyming, but more bars about history & knowledge of my people & the world we live in as a black man. & Of course... The realness that Dead Prez brought to the table influenced me to think my own thoughts, have self love & honor. I actually built kind of a protégé relationship with Stic.Man of dead Prez through myspace back when I was about 14, that ultimately led me to pick up the pen & do what I do today.
