What about Big K.R.I.T influences you? Is it the way he spits? Or his production skills?
Man, Krizzle has a spirit and a confidence about his music that I feel every artist should strive to have. He makes timeless songs that you
feel in your soul. Whether he’s having fun or bein’ deep, it’s gonna make you feel SOME way. AND he makes all his hits himself! I still feel
self produced rappers are always better. We don’t need a middle man to make our songs and visions come to life! K.R.I.T embodies that,
so he’s always gonna be a huge influence.
Tell us about underground royalty. How did it come about?
Well, you have to go back before UG to see how I got there. When I first started makin’ music, I was a part of a group I was a founding
member of called “Born Dreamers”. Me, and some of the most amazingly talented spitters and singers you will ever meet, from 2010 to
2015 worked as a team to make all of our dreams in this music industry come to life. Had some of the greatest moments ever with them,
but we all decided to go our separate ways last year. Underground Royalty, I had been rockin with them for years previously. We made
music before, but this year we’ve started making music so tight knit that they’ve welcomed me into the gang. Marsz Foolay, King Brad,
Pizar. Look out for those guys.
“Be Great, and change the
world with Piano’s and 808s.”
Being 6 years deep in the game, what are some things you know now, that you wish you would have known
when you first started?
Man, don’t force it bro! Problem I had earlier when I started spittin was I was too worried about punchlines and Makin the hardest rhymes
that sometimes my verses felt too forced. When I stopped doin that, my music started gettin so much better, almost instantly. Also, nothin’
in this game is promised, and you’re not entitled to sh*t, So if you’re not working to better yourself in some way every day, You will not
progress. Learned that the hard way

When it comes to producing for other artists, what are some things you’ve learned not to do with your own
personal track?
When you’re producing a track, BE YOURSELF. Don’t try to replicate any other producers sound, Even when you have an artist and they
hit you with that “I want a so-and-so type beat”. You can’t let that get you out of your own creative zone. Stick to what makes you you
while producing, or you’re just another beat maker! I stick to that formula and it’s worked pretty well so far, for me and other artists I’ve
produced for.
