Jeff has particular interest in the use of technology and data to improve the delivery of business services and in how accreditation and standards can be used to deliver confidence in products and services to regulators, businesses and the wider public. Jim Moseley CEO Red Tractor Jim Moseley has spent over 40 years in the Food & Drink Industry and is the current CEO of Red Tractor Assurance. He started his career with FMC Meat Ltd – at the time Europe’s largest Meat Group. Whilst operating as the European MD for Mizkan, Jim took on the Chairmanship of Red Tractor and subsequently took over as CEO during 2017. In addition, Jim has served as the Chairman of The Provision Trade Federation, was for three years the President of the Food & Drink Federation and has been a Board member of FoodDrinkEurope. Nathan Shipley is the PPE Group Certification Manager at BSI. He is an experienced Certification Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the information services industry. Skilled in CE marking, Quality Management, Quality Assurance, ISO 9000, and Root Cause Analysis. Elinor Hughes, technical copywriter at Markes International, Gwaun Elai Medi- Science Campus, Llantrisant, Elinor Hughes obtained her B.Sc. in chemistry and Ph.D. in organic chemistry atBangor University, UK. After working for a chemical manufacturing company fort hree years, she moved to the Royal Society of Chemistry where she worked in journals publishing for six years and on Chemistry World magazine for four years. This was followed by five years as a freelance copyeditor and science writer. Hercurrent role is technical copywriter at Markes International. Contribute to our next newsletter Paul Greenwood Divisional Director (Laboratories) UKAS Paul Greenwood (CChem MRSC) joined UKAS in 2006 after a 13 year post-graduate career as a chemist in the fields of drinking water analysis, environmental testing and analytical instrument manufacture. Since joining UKAS he has progressed from the role of Assessment Manager/Technical Assessor to the position of Operations Director. In addition to oversight of the accreditation of around 1500 laboratories he is a member of the UKAS Executive and responsible for ensuring strategic development and delivery of accreditation nationally and internationally. Paul is an active participant in various BSI technical committees and a member of the UK Reference Material Working Group. We encourage our readers to send in thought leadership articles and opinion pieces on a wide range of technical, operational and commercial issues impacting any aspect of the UK measurement and testing industry.
