Participants from countries worldwide will network in sessions on theoretical and applied science, bringing together experts from related fields of knowledge, including uncertainty quantification, inter-laboratory studies, medical and industrial imaging, atmospheric science and climatology, chemometrics, molecular biology, machine learning, dynamic measurements and big data. Topics include: Measurement uncertainty Statistical calibration and regression problems Modelling and inverse problems Uncertainty quantification for computationally expensive model Statistical methods for interlaboratory comparisons and conformity assessment Statistical methods for chemistry, bioanalysis and molecular biology Machine learning Dynamic measurement Mathematics and metrology in medicine Measurement uncertainty training: a survey and developments Type A evaluations of measurement uncertainty For more information visit: http://mathmet2019.lnec.pt/index.html As MedTech innovation becomes more diverse, combining new technologies like AI, digital and wearable devices to allow patient self-reporting. Using these, and other exciting technologies offers the greatest potential to improve health. With new developments we are seeing more companies move into this space. Healthcare is a difficult environment to push technological change with ever-increasing legislation which companies need to adhere to. There is assistance available using technologies which may help accelerate a product's route to market, alongside funding streams to help with product development and advise on rulings that could affect product acceptance.
