FROM THE
EDITORS DESK
he original message we in-
tended for you to read has
changed in preparing this is-
sue. We stand with you as we
face the challenges this new year has
presented to us all. The Coronavirus
has greatly impacted the world as
we know it. And in a short amount
of time, Americans have witnessed
global devastation in countries like
Italy only to have the first case of the
disease reported in the U.S shortly
thereafter. Stock market plunge,
school and business closings, social
distancing, and high profile actors
and athletes diagnosed, it’s enough
to make you wonder what exactly is
going on. Whether someone looks
at it from a spiritual standpoint
in terms of God is trying to tell us
something, or not, one thing is for
sure, we are living in peculiar times.
Perhaps this is where we refocus
on the things that absolutely mat-
ter. Sure, we’ve heard this thought
before, but never has it had great-
er meaning than now. For many,
the takeaway may be to slow down
and enjoy life as it should be, and
to spend more time with our loved
ones. And as we’re told to stay in-
side our homes more to lessen the
chances of the virus spreading, now
is a great time to work on shelved
projects. We’re not just talking sew-
ing and tool work, but book ideas,
podcasts, online courses, business
video marketing, and more. We en-
courage everyone to keep going with
the belief that better opportunities
come from life’s uncertainties.
Despite being affected by the cur-

you are still hopeful the year 2020
will yield brighter days. It is why we
take great care in delivering to you
our spring issue with the intention
that it will bring you reading plea-
sure. Enjoy the cover story inter-
view with model, entrepreneur, and
reality star of the Real Housewives
of Atlanta (RHOA), Cynthia Bailey,
where she talks about her upcoming
marriage and loving the skin she’s
in at 50+. Meet powerhouse woman
entrepreneur, Centrell Reed, her
Houston based company CReed
Global Media is making way for big
moves in studio film space, outside
of the traditional settings of Hol-
lywood, New York, and Atlanta. But
no issue would be complete without
a tribute to Kobe Bryant. The five-
time NBA basketball champion lost
his life along with his 13-year-old
daughter and seven other passen-
gers Jan. 26 in a helicopter crash. We
honor his legacy.
Please use this temporary time in
our lives to regather plans. Rid as
much panic and fear that tries to
consume you and BREATHE. Work
in bite-size increments to fulfill one
project after the next. Hang in there.
We will be okay.
