en una etapa inicial, el interés en su aplicación a la seguridad
les ha llevado a ampliar las investigaciones en este campo
más que en otros países donde la implementación del BIM

Por otro lado, el mayor número de investigaciones se centran
en fase de diseño, 52% del total, frente al 23% en fase de
construcción, 12% en fase de mantenimiento y 13% en

Esta razón atiende a que al ser una metodología de reciente
implantación la mayor parte de las investigaciones se centran
en fase de diseño. Entre los principales avances que
encontramos en el uso de esta metodología aplicada a la
seguridad son la automatización en la identificación de
riesgos y aplicación de medidas preventivas, la identificación
de congestión de espacios de trabajo, la información de
seguridad a tiempo real y la creación de entorno virtuales
que mejoran tanto el aprendizaje como la gestión de la
seguridad.

Un aspecto importante a destacar es el uso de nuevas
tecnologías a lo largo de todo el proceso constructivo. Entre
ellas por su relevancia cabe remarcar el uso de algoritmos y
simulación 4D, seguidos por sistemas de posicionamiento a
tiempo real y reglas de verificación (rule checking).
