DID YOU KNOW?
A municipal building code inspector works for a local government and ensures that construction projects comply with building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations. Their inspections are required for permitting and occupancy approval.
A private home inspector is typically hired by a buyer or seller during a real estate transaction to evaluate a home ' s condition( roof, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and identify potential issues, but they do not enforce codes or laws.
