M iracle
S hake

In the summertime, everyone is
battling the heat at barbecues, lakes,
and pools. When arriving home, no one
wants to spend time in the kitchen to
prepare a meal. However, they crave
something refreshing, yet filling. I
created a recipe for a summer shake
that is not only refreshing and filling but
also nutritious.
I refer to this shake as the
summer miracle shake, because it
satisfies everyone?s appetite, thirst, and
nutritional needs. The bananas and soy
milk in the recipe will satisfy anyone?s
appetite. The ice cream in the recipe
makes the shake refreshing and creamy.
Lastly, the oats and flaxseed will meet
parental approval.
Recipe
2 cups of soy milk
½ cup of butter pecan ice cream
½ cup of chocolate ice cream
1 tsp. of vanilla
1 banana
2 strawberries
2 tbsps. of oats
½ tsp. of cinnamon
2 tbsps. of brown sugar
2 tsp. of flaxseed
Add all of these ingredients to
the blender and blend for one
minute. Makes one shake. Enjoy!
