NHS qualifications are
extensive. The applicants
must be sophomores, juniors,
or seniors. They also had to
have a 3.5 grade point
average, and they had to
submit four references. Three
of their supporting references
should come from teachers
and one supporting reference
had to be from an outside
source. Once the students
obtained all this information
and submitted it to the
chapter, it was reviewed by a
committee of
teachers.
